At UK Fire Training, we’ve been growing steadily since we first formed in 2004 and we are recognised by many as the number one provider of onsite, fire safety training in the UK. At the start of 2019 we became part of the Agility Group of companies which expanded our training portfolio to include a full range of Health & Safety courses including NEBOSH, IOSH and Highfield accredited courses.
Every year we train in excess of 20,000 delegates across the UK, representing private sector businesses ranging in size from SME’s to multi-national corporates as well as a number of public sector organisations.
In addition to training, we also offer a wide range of Fire Safety, Health & Safety, HR and Occupational Health consultancy and support services including 24/7 telephone helplines. Our on-site / in-company consultancy services include PAS 79 compliant fire risk assessments, delegated competent person and tender support.Our History
We have now developed a network of over 50 Fire Service and Ex-Fire Service specialists. They have all been selected for their friendly and constructive attitude designed to make all courses you book with us both educational and enjoyable.
Being from the Fire Service means that they have no end of “real life” experience to underpin the training and consultancy services they offer. Their aim is not to rely on parrot fashion regurgitation of dull facts, but to make the training vivid with real life examples in all areas of the syllabus.
Our trainers have all been fire fighters but have also served in fire safety enforcement and have worked on both large and small commercial projects. They aim to make all training customer focused and will spend time with individual delegates to ensure they fully understand all aspects of the training they receive in the context of their role and workplace.
Keith is the founder and Managing Director of Agility Group which owns UKFT. He started the business back in October 2004 after being unable to find a Contract Hire and Leasing company capable of meeting his current employer’s needs.
Agility now has two separate trading businesses within the Group, the largest being Agility Fleet. Agility are one of the UK’s top 10 independently owned leasing companies. The other being Agility Risk and Compliance. This is primarily a Health & Safety training and consultancy business which was established in 2012. This business includes UK Fire Training Ltd, acquired at the start of 2019.
In his spare time, Keith enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, watching the mighty Aston Villa and competing in a monthly Karting league. He is also a massive petrol head and the proud owner of an AC Cobra replica which he actually built himself!
Key Account Manager
Emily joined the UK Fire Training Team back in February 2019 and is an integral part of the Key Account Management team. Emily manages an array of key accounts around the UK and Emily has a successful track record in account management looking after the likes of XPO Logistics, British Red Cross, Action for Children and British Gas.
Emily who has a degree in Drama studies, likes nothing more than spending her weekend time with friends & family and preparing for her wedding in 2021.
Sade joined UKFT as a Training Consultant in October 2019 bringing with her a keen passion for sales and customer service. Sade’s day to day job sees her manage and liaise with her clients from around the UK in many different industry sectors. With Sade’s extensive knowledge of our training courses she is able to assist client with developing their fire training programmes by recommending the best training solutions for them .
Most weekends Sade can be found surrounded by her friends and family and her rather naughty sausage dog Neville.
Jon is our Group Operations Manager and has worked for the group for over ten years. Jon not only oversees operations for UK Fire Training but our sister brand Agility Risk & Compliance too.
Jon has a keen eye for detail and his award winning team have delivered some of the UK’s highest standard of training and service for brands ranging from British Gymnastics, British Red Cross and McVitie’s to name a few.
Jon also heads up our ISO implementation, all while managing the 14 strong sales, office and consultancy team.
At the weekend Jon can be found on the side of a football pitch managing his son’s football team and is also Chair of Governors at a local primary school and sits on the Board of Directors for a Multi Academy Trust.
Jo is an integral part of the UKFT team, joining in March 2019 as our Office Administrator. For our clients Jo is one of the familiar names of our team as she is responsible for pre and post course administration including sending those all-important certificates. Jo is always on hand to help customers with a cheerful demeanour and keeps her colleagues entertained with love of singing.
Jo spends a lot of her spare time with her two daughters and is a keen supporter of our CSR initiatives.
Sally joined the team back in September 2019 and soon became an integral part of the UKFT team. Sally has a wide range of business knowledge and experience working in all areas of Accounts.
She maintains the smooth running of the accounts here at UKFT, for all our new and existing customers.
Sally is married and has a one son. Sally is a keen animal lover who has always adopted Cats and dogs. She enjoys cooking, reading and exercising, as and when she can.
You will find Sally enjoying time with her family and friends most weekend. She enjoys traveling especially abroad and did you know Sally is keen on holistic therapies and is a qualified massage therapist.
Ross is the Finance Director for the Agility Group of companies which own UKFT. Ross joined the Group in 2014 following a varied career in Practice, having worked for one of the “Big 4” accountancy firms in London, Zurich and Birmingham. Ross was thrilled when UKFT was acquired in 2019 and takes great pride in the level of service provided by UKFT to its clients.
Ross has a passion for endurance sports, and is a keen runner and cyclist and is often seen out at weekends on one of his many bikes!
Head of Marketing
Rachel joined the team in January 2020 and has hit the ground running with her impressive approach to marketing. Rachel oversees the marketing for all the brands in the Agility Group and has spearheaded the new look UKFT website.
With over 20 years marketing experience Rachel has worked with some of the world’s largest brands including, Bridgestone, WHS, Ryman, Staples and was the marketer to bring Smiggle to the UK. Rachel has a wealth of knowledge and experience and has mentored many graduates over the years.
When not attending exhibitions, or attending webinars to keep ahead of the marketing game, Rachel enjoys gaining knowledge from her team and peers.
Most weekends Rachel can be found walking her beloved dog Jake around a boundary or two supporting her cricket nut son!

UK Fire Training is proud to have offered IFE approved courses to all clients since 2004. This provides delegates with the assurance that their training will be compliant with all current regulations and guidelines. It also provides a guarantee of consistency and the knowledge that their qualification is backed by an organisation of international repute.
Founded in 1918, the IFE assesses knowledge of fire and professional experience, awarding internationally recognised membership grades and fire related qualifications. Through its Engineering Council licence as a Professional Engineering Institution the IFE registers suitably qualified IFE members as Chartered Engineers, Incorporated Engineers and Engineering Technicians. Learning opportunities are worldwide within the IFE fire community and the IFE delivers over 7,300 fire-related exams each year which are required by many Fire and Rescue Services for promotion both within the UK and internationally.
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority and to underpin this we operate a BSI audited quality management system to ISO 9001:2015.
We offer several non-fire related training services to nationally accredited status including;
Regulated qualifications are delivered by trainers recognised by Ofqual, which is a regulated ‘awarding organisation’ under new HSE rules.
We offer a range of recognised qualifications including CIEH and IOSH awards such as Managing Safely.
We offer a range of accredited Food Safety qualifications, mainly via the CIEH including Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering, retail and manufacturing.
We provide accredited training in many areas including slinging, overhead cranes, woodworking machinery, abrasive wheels, mobile scaffolding and ladders. This is mainly accredited via NPORS.
